Types and Benefits of Flush Doors

Flush interior doors have simple and plain facing on both sides. They can have a hollow, solid or stave core. If you have chosen a solid core door, then foam or low-density particleboard is used to fill the space within the door. Two sections of plywood are attached to each side of a frame.

Foam and wooden flush doors are excellent for resistant against heat, noise, and dust.

Solid Flush Door: Combination of different materials is used to construct the solid core flush doors such as MDF (Medium Density Fibreboard), cross band, particleboard, laminated core, veneer, face wood etc. These doors are stronger than the hollow and stave flush doors so they are used as exterior doors. Hollow Flush Door: These doors mainly have honeycomb hollow core which can be made of cardboard. Hollow flush doors are lightweight than the solid flush doors. The thickness of the plywood in a hollow flush door should always be more than 6 mm.
